IGF-1 DES

IGF-1 DES(1,3), also written DES(1-3)IGF-1, is a truncated analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 with the first three N-terminal amino acids removed. That small change sharply reduces its binding to IGF binding proteins, so it acts more potently and locally at the IGF-1 receptor, with a shorter duration than IGF-1 LR3. Studied in research settings for localized muscle and tissue growth. Research use only; not approved by any regulator for human use.
